Phone harrassment
I was repeatedly getting between 6-10 calls a day at all hours. the caller would never say anything when i picked up. finally i called the number and the person answering did not identify the firm they represented. i asked repeatedly to have my number removed as i was NOT a business, nor would i want business with such a harrassing firm. i was told that it would take 72 hours. days laters, the calls kept coming in. so i called and asked for some random name and the operator slipped up. she said that i had the wrong number. she then told me that she was with ebridge advertising.

i googled the name and number, found NUMEROUS ppl complaining of similar phone harrassment. i then filed a complaint with the better business bureau. ebridge claims " Our sales agents only call numbers listed as business telephone numbers, as our product is not intended for individual consumption.

We apologize for any unwanted calls from our sales agents. Our policy requires our sales agents to honor all requests to be placed on our Internal Do Not Call list. It is clearly a waste of our resources to repeatedly call a business if they are clearly not interested in our service."

Yet a majority of the complaints were from ppl sick of getting called at home, on their cells, etc. a large number of the complaints said they tried repeatedly to get removed. clearly the respondant from ebridge quoted above is either unaware of how their firm works, or lies.

We are working diligently to better our process. However, anonymous comments in anonymous forums are of no benefit to either party. We need information such as your telephone number and the number from which you received the calls to investigate claims thoroughly to resolve issues. We often find that most claims are exaggerated. Our leads are gathered through existing online business directories. We only call telephone numbers which are currently listed as business numbers. In our experience of investigating claims of phone calls made to homes, in every instance we found that the number was published online as a business telephone number. Our representatives are required to identify themselves and the company from which they are calling behalf. As we are trying to sell a service, we are very clear in providing our company name and contact information. Furthermore, please note that the Better Business Bureau is a privately held corporation and as such, has no governmental authority over businesses. If you sincerely wish to resolve this issue, we invite you to contact our Customer Service Department with relevant information regarding your claim. Our representatives can be reached at 1.888.737.1000 and are available Monday thru Friday, 6 a.m. – 7 p.m., Pacific Standard Time.
