Eastcom, Inc. owns XFX Technologies, and I have had a very negative experience with XFX and their "Lifetime Warranty" claim. XFX advertises that all of their hardware is covered by a lifetime warranty that is fully transferable when selling their products. What they fail to advertise is that failure to register your product within a short time frame (30 days) will nullify any claims on their warranty. I purchased two XFX video cards and a motherboard new 2 years ago, and they recently failed. I had registered the products on their website about 6 months later in an effort to download driver updates from their website. Registration is required in order to do so. My cards both suffered blown capacitors about 2 weeks ago. XFX refuses to replace my cards, saying that failure to register my cards promptly prevents them from keeping track of ownership, which somehow invalidates their lifetime warranty. They also say that their policy is clearly written on the websites they sell their products on, but I cannot find it anywhere from the website I bought from (www.TigerDirect.com). Unfortunately, instead of "teaching me a lesson" about registering their products promptly, they've lost me as a customer, which is sad.
