I have the distinct pleasure of recommending Patrick Rostock of wehaulmoving.com. My family's move from Maryland to Alaska seemed overwhelming when dealing both the distance and the logistics of getting our things to our home in a VERY remote location in Alaska. The numerous calls from moving companies selling us their service also felt confusing and overwhelming - for instance, several agents from other companies flat-out lied to me about there being no barge shipping available to our Alaska home.
After feeling completely mistrustful of moving companies after the first initial phone calls, I then spoke with Patrick from wehaulmoving.com. From the initial conversation, Patrick was informative, helpful and proactive in creating solutions to our budget constraints. Patrick made planning a move pleasant and (dare I say it?) FUN! He is a wonderful, warm personality, and proved his trustworthiness to me many times over.
We did run into one major problem which prevented our utilizing wehaulmoving.com's services. The State of Alaska pays for moving by providing new employees an assignment of rights. Wehaulmoving.com was unable to accept the assignment of rights due to their company's policies. Even with that problem, Patrick was able to find a way to offer a payment plan and staggered payments so that we would be able to receive our reimbursement from the state without having to pay too much out of pocket.
In the end, I am thankful that I met Patrick and his company, wehaulmoving.com. He provided extraordinary customer service, was reassuring and trustworthy, and made our move process enjoyable. Patrick's current extension is 800.452.4285, x270. I highly recommend that if you are planning a move, call him directly. You will not be disappointed.
