I would NOT recommend this Uniquely You Orthodontics to anyone. My grandson had his braces removed due to moving out of state after he graduated from high school. He was not fitted for a retainer to hold the progress of the braces. When I called to ask why, I was told doctor decided he didn't think my grandson would wear his retainer so he didn't make him one. ( although a retainer is included in the price I paid) I called back to tell the receptionist to please let the doctor know I was very unhappy about not having a retainer made while my grandson was in town. She called me back and told me doctor now said it was because there is still space to be closed and if I am unhappy to call back again and ask for him. I assumed he would call me back or come to the phone.
Terrible customer service from the doctor.
Terrible treatment of his assistants and patients. He took no accountability in his discrimination of my grandson. He made the decision NOT to make a retainer for my grandson without even consulting me who paid for the braces, or his mother. I made the initial appointments two weeks ahead of time and was told one appointment needed for retainer pick up was the next day. After I called to question why they didn't take impressions to make a retainer the day of the removal I was told they were out of the office for the rest of the week so the next day was the only day available for the two appointments needed if I insisted on having one made , and they would try to squeeze him in. .
I did try to make another appointment to have a retainer made, but my 19 year old grandson was hurt and embarrassed that the doctor would think so poorly of him that he wouldn't wear his retainer.
(Dr. Schmidt does not know my grandson personally.) My grandson refused to go back.
We paid to have a retainer made at another office. I mentioned that I would leave a negative review if the doctor didn't reach out to me and he didn't seem to care. Dr. Schmidt is not equip with the personality to give good customer service as he takes no accountability for his actions.
