If you are looking for very high end Italian furniture modern living is one of the best places in Los Angeles. Yes, what they sell is quite expensive but their vendors in Milan are willing to produce custom furniture with very specific dimensions.
When I moved into a new apartment 4 months ago and wanted to decorate, I visited the showroom in West Hollywood and Roberta, the owner, was very helpful and spent more than an hour discussing different options for the piece I was looking for. I decided on an Ferlea Doza chair and Quadri rug, both were delivered yesterday and look great in my new pad!
The only downside is the hit to your pocketbook and the time it takes for the merchandise to arrive (although 4 months isn't that long considering it is custom made in Italy).
Overall, I highly recommend!
