Like many people right now, I am unemployed and actively looking for a job. I have applied to several jobs that have asked me to go to creditreport.com and pull a current report, although it is not directly related to employment. Of course I never heard back about the job I pulled the credit report for and ended up enrolled in credit protection to the tune of $14.95/month. Since then, I have found at least three other job postings that have asked me to do the same thing, and I sincerely believe this company is false advertising jobs to drive membership. When I called to cancel my service, they offered me a reduced rate to continue of almost half price, and went out of their way to mention that people are using identity theft to get a job.
